چکیده

OBJECTIVE In this part 2 of our two-part article, we aim to describe the evaluation and interpretation of coronary CTA, cardiac structures, and cardiac functional assessment using an approach similar to the reporting of catheter angiography and echocardiography. CONCLUSION The superb resolution and the isotropic image data acquisition of ECG-gated coronary CT angiography (CTA) enable evaluation of the coronary arteries and cardiac anatomy in any selected plane. The consistent use of standard terminology when reporting cardiac CT findings is part of a structured and comprehensive coronary CTA report.

Anatomy and terminology for the interpretation and reporting of cardiac MDCT: part 1, Structured report, coronary calcium screening, and coronary artery anatomy.

OBJECTIVE In this part one of a two-part article, we aim to illustrate our understanding of and approach to comprehensive cardiac CT reporting, cardiac CT technique, and coronary calcium scoring CT, as well as normal and anomalous coronary artery anatomy. CONCLUSION Structured cardiac CT reporting is important to effectively communicate with referring clinicians. Knowledge of cardiac CT techn...

MDCT Findings of Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysms Involving Two Coronary Sinuses: Case Report

cardiac anomaly (1). SVA most commonly originates in the right coronary sinus of Valsalva (75-90%), the noncoronary sinus (10-25%), and rarely, in the left sinus (1, 2). Unruptured SVA usually remains asymptomatic, but it can sometimes cause cardiac arrhythmia, myocardial ischemia, or systemic embolic events (1-3). Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) is a useful modality for examining the ...

حفاظت پرتویی بیماران در سی تی آنژیوگرافی قلب

Introduction: Cardiac CT (Computed Tomography) angiography applies as a pre-exam method for evaluating the patients with medical problems in their cardiac arteries. Due to the high delivered dose in this imaging method, dose reduction techniques and imaging strategies that serve the images quality with minimum patient dose are the subjects for investigation and research studies. This study will...

Evaluating the overt extracardiac malformations in children with congenital heart disease in Khuzestan Province

Background: Extracardiac malformations can be seen in 20-45% of infants with congenital heart disease (CHD). Chromosomal abnormalities exist in 5-10% of patients with CHD. The aim of this study was to assess the frequency of overt extra cardiac malformations in children with CHD. Methods: This descriptive epidemiologic study was conducted on 720 patients with CHD referred to the pediatric ca...

Assessment of cardiac function using multidetector row computed tomography.

In patients with suspected or documented heart disease, a precise quantitative and qualitative assessment of cardiac function is critical for clinical diagnosis, risk stratification, management and prognosis. Cardiac CT is increasingly being used in diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Initially multi-detector row computed tomography (MDCT) was used chiefly for detecting coronary artery stenos...
